February Birthdays

Yesterday was Johnny's birthday. He is 10 years old now, such a great kid. He is never in one spot for too long. He has a million friends and brings them all in the house for whatever it is he is needing at the time. They laugh, sing, dance and fight right here in my living room. One thing I love about that boy of mine is no matter what is going on or who is in our home he always has time to give me a hug and a kiss. Unsolicited!! He is amazing, and just so affectionate. He gets that from his daddy.

Cami's birthday is today and she is 12 now. This kid is so funny. She comes off a little shy and quiet, but when she gets going it is hilarious. She has one best friend, Kirby and they do most everything together. Cami has a big heart and loves to give her money away to a good cause, she might have gotten that from me. She loves to sleep amongst her stuffed animal collection. She loves to watch movies about animals and is truly a animal advocate. If I only had a farm!!!

Hookie Cookie Day

December 16, 2008

I surprised the kids with a day off to stay home from school to bake cookies with my mom and I. We burned a lot of cookies, made a big mess and had a bunch of fun.

Greek Wax Museum

Last Tuesday was the Greek Wax Museum for the 6th graders. They all were given a God or Goddess to play. They did a written report, a costume and a 30 second speech on who they were. These kids and their parents are so creative. I took lots of pictures so that I have some ideas in two years when Johnny has this project. (I don't have much experience with boy outfits). While all the news is talking about the horrible shape our country is in, I can't help but focus on how grateful I am for a great husband and wonderful kids. This is what life is all about for me. There is never a dull moment in my life. Every inch is filled with greatness.

Holiday Fun

The chicks and I cleaned up the house and then we invited all the neighborhood kids over for some cinnamon ornaments. We made huge mess.

Our Family Tradition

Merry Christmas to All
One of our family traditions is to go to the mall for a picture with Santa. We choose a different theme every year, dress up, head out to the mall for about one hour of embarrassment. It is the official beginning of our holiday season.

Post Thanksgiving Bronco Chili Party

It used to be a Sunday tradition that we would all gather together to watch a Bronco game, but wow....we are all so busy with our lives that it has been a long time since that has happened. Mike decided that enough was enough yesterday and invited everyone over for Italian Chili and a Bronco game. Thank the Heavens that they won! (34-17) I think that Johnny had the most fun. He got the stuffing beat out of him by both Uncle's. The Chili was fabulous as always and an outdoor football game was played. Which always makes Bobbi happy.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great dinner at Mike's cousin Marilyn's house. The spread was incredible as always. Marilyn's sister Janine was there. It was the first time to meet her. She is such a free spirit, I could have talked to her all day. The kids and Mike played Guitar Hero 4 with Chad, Jessica, Nick and Scott, and then put together gingerbread houses with Nick and Janine. We are grateful for our family. The ones we see often and the ones we see rarely. My Granny was on my mind the entire week. One more thing to feel grateful for. Love to all of you and Happy Holidays.
