A moment for Gratitude

Today I received an email from my brother Jamie. One of the Gilbert Fire Fighters he works with has a 15 year old son who has cancer. A dentist in Gilbert is donating all teeth whitening proceeds to his fund raising account. So, if you want your teeth whitened now would be a great time. I added a link to his blog. Jordons Fight.

After reading this story, I wanted to take a moment to voice my gratitude for all of the helping hands that surround us. I guess we never know where are lessons, gifts and gratitude's are going to come from. I am so honored to be a part of this large family, and I don't just mean in my house. I am talking about my community, my work, my coaching friends, the fire department and all of the people I have met along the way. It never stops amazing me just what people will do for each other. Clown Day

Today is Clown Day. Kirby showed up all dressed up and then Cami and John rushed to get ready. They looked adorable even though it was a 10 minute job. Halloween is right around the corner and I can't wait.

Sunday Night

Bobbi got her report card on Friday. She had 5 "A's" and 1 "B". We are so proud of her, she is an excellent student. Johnny received a great report card also, he got 4 "A's" and 2 "B's". All three of them make us so proud because their teachers always comment on their good behavior, (which is most important to me). They are kind and help other students. Okay, okay enough......They really don't like it when I brag.

We have had an excellent Sunday. I was actually on call and did not get called in. This is a great bonus today. I was able to spend lots of time with my family and get my toenails painted by my husband. I launched my new website and I am learning how to download movies from our video camera to my computer. I never thought that I would be able to learn all of this and I can't believe how much fun I am having. T

Beautiful Cousins Visit!!!

This morning my girls and I went to Aunt Judy's house to visit with our cousins from Colorado. We acted silly and took pictures. It is so good to catch up with everyone and feel that feeling of family. My Mom came over for a bit. Rebecca helped me with my website and Cami painted a rock with the little boys, Brandon and Jacob. I feel so close to my cousin and her girls, I feel sad that our visits are short. The girls are all so beautiful and adorable. The last time we were all together was in March at my Granny's funeral.

Straight "A" Celebration

Straight "A" Celebration!!!

Cami brought home her report card on Wednesday and she got straight A's. Mike bought a cake and we had a big celebration. The girls dressed up like models and they had a Runway show. Even Johnny and Mike got in to it. Our neighbor KC came over too, because her daughter Kirby was in the show also. I was just getting home from work and did not get my camera out in time. I was so tired, but these are the moments that I treasure. Even when it is way to late on a school night.

Cami's Swim Towel/Robe

After Cami's first swim session we met a little girl who had on this great big Poncho like thing made out of a beach towel. Cami had to have one, so I asked the girl where she got it, she told me her Grandma made it. (She will be here this summer to make and sell more????) So, I took a mental picture and was sure it would be a breeze to make. LOL!!! Cami, Bobbi, Nana and I set out early Friday morning in search of some great big beach towels that would surely be on sale by now. The colors were not to Cami's liking so we ate lunch with my mom and headed to another store. No beach towels. We did however, find some over sized towels that were summery colors. We bought two and then three other smaller towels. (they were all on sale). I do have some sewing experience, but mostly.......................not. We, Cami and I came home and started pinning, sewing, unsewing, laughing and mostly have a great time. My sewing machine kept jammin up and we would have to start over. I have never sewn terrycloth before and boy does it ravel. Even when you zig zag. Eventually, 5 hours into it, I tell her we have to do the collar by hand. She said, "okay"......(and here is my favorite part of the story). I am frustrated and I tell Cami, "Do you know how long it is going to take me to sew this by hand?" She says, "yeah, but just think how great it is to spend this much time together."

I am always surprised where my blessings come from. This was surely one of them. I also received another little treasure, I found myself thanking my Dear Granny for teaching me how to sew and spending all that time with me.

Big Pride

This morning I have to talk about the pride I have from last nights swim try outs for Cami. She was amazing..............They have never had formal swim lessons so I was a bit nervous about letting her try out. I don't think that she has ever swam that much in her life. But, she kept up and did everything the coach asked for. The coach came over to me and said, "I think Cami is ready for swim team and I would like her to be on my team." So, on the way home I told Cami that and she was grinning from ear to ear. She said she loved it. Her practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I think one or two meets per month. So, Yea Cami........

Mike

This is my Mr. Wonderful, Mike. He is more than a dream. Best friend since 1984, amazing
husband and the best father that any woman could want for her children. Mike just turned 46, so now he is as old as me. (We have six months that I am older). Mike thinks that he wants to be
a Yoga master now, (in between his golf games).

Cami

Cami is 11 1/2. She loves animals and babies. She loves watching the Bronco games with daddy and loves to play flag football. You can find her most of the time with her rollerblades on or playing with Kirby. Cami is hilarious, she is so quick witted that it cracks us up. She is normally one of the stars in Bobbi's productions and her acting skills are just as funny.

Bobbi

Bobbi will be 13 next month, she is a joy and everything I hope to be when I grow up. She loves football, and is playing on the flag football team at her Junior High. She just made the All star team. She plays running back and wide receiver. Bobbi is the fastest female runner in her school and the third fastest over all. She also loves to make movies, she is currently taking Drama and having a ball. Softball will be next and then track.

Johnny

Johnny Wolf, 9 1/2 years old, what a character. He is a typical "Johnny" He goes by several different nick names, Johnny Danger, Johnny Rocket, Johnny Rotten, to mention a few. He is my baby, still cuddles and hugs. Loves anything to do with anything physical. Loves football, tether ball, skateboarding and his mommy. Doesn't like to read. This kid has more energy than I have ever seen and he has such a great heart

.

The purpose of my Blog

The purpose of this blog is to remember the great stories of our family when I am 102 years old. We are constantly laughing and making memories that I do not want to forget. I also want it to be shared all of the gratitude that I have for my wonderful husband and our children. I will be posting little videos of my family on here too. My kids love to make movies and they are pretty good. Let's see how good my technical skills are.

This weeks greatest moments in the Wolf house is that Cami got straight "A's" for the first time, we bought her some Lee press on nails to commemorate the occasion. She worked really hard and checked her grades every night on the computer. She has a goal of making Academic Night this year. When she makes it we will go to Disneyland. Bobbi got a "B" for the first time and made the All star Flag football team for South Valley Junior High. She also scored a touchdown during the Wednesday night game. Johnny worked really hard on his reading goal the last two weeks of the quarter and almost made it. He knows now what it takes to get an "A" in reading and is determined to make it happen. Skateboarding is his favorite thing of the week, he fell at the skateboard park and all of the guts fell out of his hand. I think he will make it.
