Post Thanksgiving Bronco Chili Party

It used to be a Sunday tradition that we would all gather together to watch a Bronco game, but wow....we are all so busy with our lives that it has been a long time since that has happened. Mike decided that enough was enough yesterday and invited everyone over for Italian Chili and a Bronco game. Thank the Heavens that they won! (34-17) I think that Johnny had the most fun. He got the stuffing beat out of him by both Uncle's. The Chili was fabulous as always and an outdoor football game was played. Which always makes Bobbi happy.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great dinner at Mike's cousin Marilyn's house. The spread was incredible as always. Marilyn's sister Janine was there. It was the first time to meet her. She is such a free spirit, I could have talked to her all day. The kids and Mike played Guitar Hero 4 with Chad, Jessica, Nick and Scott, and then put together gingerbread houses with Nick and Janine. We are grateful for our family. The ones we see often and the ones we see rarely. My Granny was on my mind the entire week. One more thing to feel grateful for. Love to all of you and Happy Holidays.

Gilert Days Fair

What a day! We loaded up and met Uncle Shawn at the Fair. It was $18.00 per person to ride every ride from 12pm to 4pm. Yipee!! They all saved their change since last year just for the fair. It is a pretty good deal. So here is the beginning picture.

After about 3 rides Johnny was a little woozy. So he got himself interested in some games. Then after 7 rides Kirby lost her lunch, all over Bobbi. Now Bobbi and Cami lost their ride partners. (They don't like the same rides). A few more friends showed up and again Bobbi has someone to ride with, whoops.........Marissa didn't like the ride Bobbi chose and they had to stop it. So, poor Bobbi rode rides the rest of the day alone. Cami and Marissa settled in together and Johnny, Max and Zac rode together. Bobbi talked the next door neighbor Stephen into going on one last ride with her and it did her in. She was hanging her head out of the window all the way home. Fun was had by all. We even shared a funnel cake.

Oh yea, on the way out Johnny and Cami climbed the rock wall.

Great Weekend

This weekend I am dedicating to my kids, for my sake. I need my tank filled with kids. Cami and Kirby are getting ready for the Greek Mythology Wax Museum. I helped Bobbi last year with her costume and couldn't wait to be a part of it again this year. We used Bobbi's old dress and added some red sparkly stuff for Cami, she is Aphrodite. The Goddess of Love and Beauty. (But of course). Kirbys dress has gold danglies all over it and she is Sekhmet, the Goddess of Power. Her face is supposed to look like a lion, I guess that Mike will be drawing that on Dec. 10 when they dress like this for the wax museum at school. We went to Joann's for material, did a little sewing but mostly did a lot of girly getting ready. Meanwhile, Johnny is doing his report for The American Eagle. We have been copying pictures from the internet and reading all about Eagles. They mate for life, just like the Wolf. Tomorrow is the Gilbert Days Fair, which we never miss. We have been waiting all year for this. My Tank is overflowing with joy of a well spent weekend.

The Many Faces of Johnny

This child is so animated and funny. I thought I'd take a bunch of pictures of him just for fun. He never disappoints me.

Daddy's Beanie

Cami has been begging for a knitting loom, so she can make hats, bags and scarfs. She has a group of friends at school that are all knitting, and they spend their free time together. I finally bought her one and boy is she knitting up a storm. Her first masterpiece is a beanie for Daddy. Now she wants all of the other accessories that you can buy. I love doing crafts with this little love. Her company is so genuine and loving. She is very creative and adventurous when it comes to making things she hasn't done before. I am so lucky to be blessed with my children. They are so different and it is so much fun to watch them grow.

Bobbi Turns 13 !!!

The 12th of November our Bobbi turned 13. I can't believe that I have been a parent that long. It seems like just yesterday she was 1 month old and Mike and I were holding her up above our heads and she puked all over both of us. She is the most amazing child. Every day she just floors me with the things she instinctively knows. We had a little family party. She had her 2nd favorite meal (Mexican lasagna, pumpkin pie and got her most wanted present a new phone. The EnV2 by Verizon. I tried to trick her by putting it in an empty Starbucks cup with the lid on it. I think I didn't hide my face well enough. She was very happy. Grandma sent her bronco colored M&M's with her name printed on them. She was pretty excited about that. She had a good day. She will be having lunch with Nana on Sunday and is looking forward to that.

Bobbi's last Football Game 2008

Last night was the last flag football game of the year for Bobbi. I am sad, because I love going. She however, is glad it is over. She has softball next and is still deciding if she truly wants to play. She is such an amazing athlete I really hope she continues. I think I am living vicariously through her.

Ahhhhhh

Writing tonight from a place of Ahhhhh........Again, I am in a place of gratitude tonight. I had written yesterday that we ended up with a couple of extra kids on Halloween night. Well, yesterday evening all three kids ended up spending the night with someone else. Suddenly Mike and I found ourselves alone for the first time in.........I don't know how long. We watched some movies and spent a wonderful night and morning together, this really recharged my batteries. It is amazing what simple pleasures can do for a peaceful outlook on life. As the day went on I settled myself into the arms of my ruggedly handsome husband and this beautiful soft spot I call my home. T

Happy Halloween

So, here it is Halloween Night. I've looked forward to this night for a long time. Tonight I wasn't feeling ready after having a stomach bug for the last few days. Nonetheless, we put the little fireplace and lawn chairs on the driveway and waited for little ghouls to show up. The whole neighborhood started out at our house and I took pictures of everyone. Then off they went. For the first time Bobbi had a party to go to, (the times are a changing). My mom and our next door neighbors sat on the drive way and we watched the kids go wild. I laughed and laughed. Somehow at the end of the night we ended up with 3 extra kids, (parents wanted to go out). Mike donned the wolfman costume and proceeded to scare the bijeebies out of the kids, I got in it too, regrettably. All of the kids knew that it was Mike but still got caught up in the moment. Except Cami, she will need lots of apologizing today. They all dumped their candy on the middle of the living room floor and watched scarey movies until the sugar coma took over and they all drifted off to Neverland......... Holy Cow!!!
